Home/Peugeot/2008/Mk2 (P24) 2019-Present/Reset the Service Indicator

Reset the Service Indicator

These instructions apply to the Peugeot 2008 Mk2 (P24) 2019-Present. For other models, please choose your vehicle here.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

When the spanner and a service message show on your Peugeot 2008 Mk2 (P24, 2019–present), the maintenance counter has reached zero. You reset it with the trip-reset button on the dash — no garage tool needed. Do the oil and filter change first.

Reset After the Service Only

The counter just measures distance and time. Reset it once the work is done, or the next reminder will be wrong.

How to Reset the 2008 Service Indicator

  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Press and hold the trip-reset button (the stalk-end or dash button you use to zero the trip).
  3. Keeping it held, press the start/stop button to switch the ignition on (don’t start the engine).
  4. The spanner/maintenance symbol appears and counts down — keep holding.
  5. When the display reaches ‘0’ and the spanner disappears, release the button. The system is reset.

If It Doesn’t Reset

  • You released too early — hold until the countdown reaches 0 and the symbol clears.
  • A different warning is lit — that’s a fault, not the service counter.
