On the Dacia Sandero (Mk3 / DJF, 2021–present) the 12V battery is in the engine bay, at the front. Disconnecting it is a simple job; just follow the order and the after-steps below.
How to Disconnect and Reconnect the Sandero (Mk3) Battery
- Note your media/radio code if you have one, switch everything off and remove the key or keycard (ignition OFF).
- Open the hood and find the battery; lift any terminal cover.
- Disconnect the negative (−, earth) terminal first, then the positive if needed.
- Do your work. To reconnect, fit the positive (+) first, then the negative, and tighten both clamps.
- Switch the ignition on and let the car settle for a moment before starting.
After Reconnecting
- Reset the clock/date and re-enter any media security code if prompted.
- The one-touch driver’s window may need re-setting — hold the switch fully up for a second after the window closes.
- If Stop & Start doesn’t work at first, a short drive lets the battery-charge monitor re-learn.
