These instructions apply to the Mercedes Sprinter Mk3 (W907/W910) 2018-Present.

The wiper arms on your Sprinter sit low against the screen, so to fit new blades or clear snow you first raise them into an upright service position. This holds the arms clear of the glass with the ignition off, giving you room to work.
- Make sure the bonnet is fully closed.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Move the wiper stalk to the continuous-wipe setting.
- As soon as the wipers reach the vertical position, turn the ignition off — the arms stay upright.
- Switch the wipers and the van fully off before touching the blades, so a moving arm cannot trap your fingers.
- Fold a wiper arm away from the screen.
- Hold the arm and rotate the blade to the arm’s stop.
- Slide the catch upward until it locks.
- Fold the blade back against the arm and pull it off the arm.
- Fit the new blade into the arm holder — the driver’s side takes the long blade and the passenger side the short blade.
- Slide the catch back down until it locks, then fold the arm back onto the screen.
Good to know
Replace the blades roughly twice a year, in spring and autumn, so worn rubber does not smear the screen when you most need clear vision.
Vans fitted with the heated wet wiper system carry a small washer hose on the blade itself. Pull it off the old blade carefully and refit it to the new one before you clip the blade back in.
To change the rear-wiper blade, fold the arm out from the glass, squeeze the two retaining clips together and pull the blade up out of the holder.
FAQ
How do I lift the Sprinter wipers off the glass?
Turn the ignition on, move the wiper stalk to continuous-wipe, and turn the ignition off the moment the wipers reach the upright position. The arms then stay vertical, clear of the screen.
Which blade goes on which side?
The driver’s side takes the long blade and the passenger side takes the short blade. Fitting them the wrong way round leaves part of the screen unswept.
How often should I change the wiper blades?
About twice a year — once in spring and once in autumn — or sooner if they start to streak, chatter or leave misted patches.
My van has washer jets in the blades — what do I do?
That is the heated wet wiper system. When you swap a blade, carefully pull the small washer hose off the old blade and push it onto the new one so the jets keep working.
