The second-generation Kia Niro, project SG2, launched in 2022 on Kia’s K3 platform and is offered exclusively as an electrified vehicle — hybrid, plug-in hybrid and the fully electric e-Niro. On the hybrid and plug-in Kia Niro Mk2 SG2 (2022-Present), electronic systems still need resetting after servicing. Owners typically perform a service reminder reset to clear the maintenance message, run a TPMS reset after tyre work, and carry out a brake pad wear reset when fitting new pads. Because these models place the 12V auxiliary battery in the boot, that battery is best reset after replacement so the charging strategy adapts.
